Harris Bonnette is a shareholder in the firm. He is an AV rated lawyer and a Florida Bar Board Certified Tax Lawyer. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Miami in 1989, and an LL.M. in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture, in 1986. Mr. Bonnette is a member of The Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association, the U.S. Tax Court, all U.S. District Courts for Florida, the U.S Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He serves on the Executive Councils of The Florida Bar’s Tax Section; and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section; and has chaired the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Tax Section since 2006.
Mr. Bonnette was an adjunct professor for the Graduate Program in Estate Planning at the University of Miami School of Law. He practiced with the Internal Revenue Service District Counsel’s Office and later was a shareholder with Purcell, Flanagan & Hay.
Mr. Bonnette is a tax specialist and concentrates his practice in all areas of Federal and Florida tax controversies, all trust and estate disputes including will and trust contests, estate and trust litigation, and estate and trust administration.
